Recruitment Coordinator

What is your role here at Sysco LABS? 

I am the Recruiting Coordinator. I coordinate and schedule interviews for candidates, as well as assist with the onboarding process for new hires.

Who / What is your greatest inspiration, and how does this drive your work? 

My greatest inspiration is my older sister, Danielle. She jumped into a position that she had no prior experience in, and has consistently achieved the goals she had set for herself to succeed in her career. She inspires me to always strive to be the best at what I do, whether or not I have any background knowledge or experience, and to never sell myself short.

What are some of your unique strengths that make you good at what you do?

I am very detailed and double check my work over and over, which is useful for this role considering there are a lot of moving pieces with scheduling. I also love getting to know and work with people. Building relationships with others and getting to learn a little bit about their history along the way is exciting to me!

What are some of your goals?  How is being part of the Sysco Labs team helping you reach those goals? 

A short-term goal of mine is to learn as much about the Human Resources field as I can so that down the road I can figure out what area of HR I might want to specialize in. I have never had the opportunity to work in the Recruiting world, so my role at Sysco LABS is a great way for me to gain that experience and see if Talent is something I want to stick with in the future.

What are some of the best experiences you have had  in your role here? 

I am fairly new to the company, but so far I have loved getting to meet everyone! I have already gotten the chance to meet with a few managers in the company , and each person I have met has been so nice and welcoming! I look forward to meeting more of the Sysco LABS team over the next few weeks and months.

What are you happiest doing  in your free time?

In my free time, I love to bounce around Austin trying out restaurants and bars with friends and family! There is also nothing better than being a couch potato and watching New Girl for the 15+ time 😊
