We are the Data & Analytics Team

We are a team of passionate data engineers and analysts who geek out daily with tons of data. Our vision is to enable a data driven approach to creating a customer experience by democratizing data. Our motto is “Data to the people, for the people, by the people!” 

What we believe

Data to the People

We build intuitive dashboarding and reporting, in addition to our ad-hoc analyses and queries, so that our stakeholders and consumers can learn independently. We strive to be a Center of Excellence where our users can come to get answers and learn how to gain insights on their own.

Data for the People

Our analysts work closely with our stakeholders to gather all of the current business questions. Then we model and define relevant data marts that will answer these questions in an efficient and logical way. These marts provide a one stop shop for answers to questions about things like orders, deliveries, online user behavior and search responses.

Data by the People

A lot of our data comes directly from our users. Every action a user takes in our product can be tracked and analyzed, for the goals of identifying areas that are not working well and determining how we can improve. We use an optimization platform to test different functional flows and design features. The rest of our data comes from Sysco’s many data systems. We rely on the experts in those systems to share their knowledge with us so we can become good stewards of that data.
